• Water-Based vs. Oil-Based: Water-based compounds are typically easier to clean up but can dry out. Oil-based compounds often provide a longer working time and can enhance gloss, but may require more effort to wipe off.
• VOC Content: Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) can affect air quality and safety. Look for low-VOC or VOC-free options for a safer working environment.
• Compatibility: Ensure the compound is compatible with your chosen applicator, whether it's a foam pad, wool pad, or microfiber towel, and the type of buffer (e.g., rotary or dual-action polisher) you plan to use.
