How to Choose the Best PlayStation Vita Case Storage Sets
Material and Durability
When selecting a PlayStation Vita case storage set, the construction material is a primary factor influencing protection. Hard EVA cases, as seen with the Jekarsy 3-in-1 Kit, typically offer superior anti-drop protection due to their rigid shell and shock-absorbing properties. This material is particularly effective for users who frequently travel or expose their device to potential impacts. In contrast, cases made from waterproof nylon, like the BUBM Double Compartment Storage Case, prioritize portability and a softer feel while still providing good padding. While nylon can offer decent scratch and splash protection, it generally doesn't absorb impact as effectively as a hard EVA shell. For users primarily concerned with preventing surface damage and light bumps, a transparent crystal case, such as the one offered by NSLikey, provides a slim profile and showcases the console's design, though it offers less robust protection against significant drops.
Storage Capacity and Organization
The ability to store not just the console but also its various accessories is crucial for a comprehensive storage set. Users report that cases with multiple compartments or dedicated slots significantly improve organization. The BUBM Double Compartment Storage Case, for example, is designed with dual sections, allowing for the separation of the PS Vita from cables, games, or other small peripherals. This prevents items from scratching the console in transit. Similarly, the Jekarsy bundle includes space within its EVA carrying case for accessories beyond the console itself. For those looking to expand the console's utility, kits like the Skywin-Kit for PSVita Case integrate storage for essential items like a charging cable and also include an SD2Vita adapter, which impacts how users manage their game library and data.
Compatibility and Bundled Accessories
Ensuring compatibility with your specific PS Vita model (1000 or 2000) is paramount, especially for form-fitting accessories like crystal cases. The Jekarsy 3-in-1 Kit explicitly states compatibility for both PS Vita 1000 and 2000 models, offering clear crystal cases tailored for each, which is a significant advantage in practice. Conversely, a product like the NSLikey Clear Hard Case is specifically designed for the PSV 2000, meaning it would not fit the 1000 model. Beyond the primary carrying case, the value of a storage set is often amplified by bundled accessories. The Skywin-Kit stands out by including an SD2Vita adapter and a charging cable, addressing both storage expansion and power needs. These additions can save users from purchasing separate items, offering a more complete solution for their PS Vita experience.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
Overlooking PS Vita Model Specificity
A common pitfall for users is assuming universal compatibility for all PS Vita accessories. In practice, the PlayStation Vita 1000 and 2000 models have distinct physical dimensions. Opting for a clear case like the NSLikey Clear Hard Case, which is designed exclusively for the PSV 2000, will result in an improper fit for a PS Vita 1000. It is crucial to verify that any included crystal cases, such as those in the Jekarsy 3-in-1 Kit, explicitly state compatibility for your specific console model to ensure a snug and effective protective fit.
Underestimating Accessory Storage Requirements
Many users focus solely on console protection without adequately considering space for essential accessories. A basic carrying bag, while portable, might not offer sufficient compartments for chargers, game cards, or headphones. Users often report frustration when their chosen case, like a simple pouch, lacks the organizational features found in options such as the BUBM Double Compartment Storage Case, which provides distinct sections to prevent items from shifting or scratching the console. Neglecting this can lead to damaged accessories or a disorganized kit.
Ignoring the Value of Bundled Functionality
Purchasing a storage set without evaluating its additional features can mean missing out on significant value. While a core carrying case is fundamental, some bundles offer enhanced utility. For instance, a common mistake is to overlook kits that include practical accessories like the SD2Vita adapter and charging cable found in the Skywin-Kit for PSVita Case. These additions not only protect but also extend the functionality and convenience of the PS Vita, addressing common user needs beyond mere physical safeguarding.
