The material of a tenor saxophone mouthpiece influences its tonal characteristics and feel.

• Hard Rubber (Ebonite): These are very popular and offer a warm, classic tone with good flexibility. They are generally forgiving and suitable for a wide range of musical styles, from jazz to classical.
