How to Choose the Best Nintendo eShop Subscriptions
Key Factors to Consider for Nintendo Switch Online
When selecting a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, consider these crucial aspects to ensure it aligns with your gaming habits:
Online Play Access: The core benefit of the subscription is enabling online multiplayer for many Switch titles. If you frequently play games with friends or strangers online, this is a primary reason to subscribe.
Classic Game Libraries: Nintendo Switch Online provides access to libraries of NES, Super NES, and Game Boy games. The Expansion Pack tier adds Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis titles. Evaluate which classic game collections appeal most to you.
Additional Features: Both subscription tiers include cloud save data backups, which are essential for protecting your game progress. The Expansion Pack also offers exclusive access to DLC for select games, such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Consider if these extra perks are worth the higher cost.
